Fleet management is the management of commercial motor vehicles, specialist vehicles, and trailers aimed at the optimization of costs, risks, and efficiency in fleet operations. It include a range of functions such as

Fleet telematics provides you with data such as the vehicle's GPS location, engine diagnostics, and driver behavior.  Monitoring your vehicle mileage to remotely identify service intervals and scheduling is one of the most effective ways to manage your fleet’s health.  There are three maintenance strategies that fleets can follow.

Maintenance tasks performed after an asset has broken down with focus on restoring the asset to normal operating conditions as quickly as possible.

 Preventive maintenance is scheduled maintenance performed on assets or equipment to improve performance, extend asset life and prevent breakdowns.  

Predictive Maintenance is an emerging alternative to reactive & preventive maintenance that employs predictive analytics over real-time data generated by sensors to a server that detects anomalies that can potentially lead to breakdowns. The real-time nature of the analytics helps identify the functional breakdowns long before they happen but soon after their potential cause arises.
